Day trippin' on the PCH

Here are some pictures from our first day on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH)...

Day 1!!!!!!

A few hiccups, but we're finally on the road with unabashed enthusiasm.  Today's adventures include traveling the coast on Highway 1 to Gorda, CA.  We'll be hiking Jade Cove Trail there, then moving on up Highway 1 toward Big Sur.  We'll be staying at Riverside Campgrounds and Cabins.  An early evening hike of McWay Falls trail is next.  Hiking day!!!  Pictures coming tonight to show the extraordinary scenery.  Be very, very glad you're not around the 3 travelers right now.  Jumping up and down has actually been going on.  Seriously....and SO appropriate.

Here we go!!!

The vacation everyone has been having to hear about is finally upon us.  Michael and Eric are already in LA and I'll meet them tomorrow...WOO HOO.  Here they are with a friend, Jonathan.  Looks like they're off to a good start.

Stay tuned...a night in LA tomorrow before beginning our journey through Big Sur, Yosemite, San Francisco, Napa Valley, Crescent City, Crater Lake, Portland and Seattle.  Gonna be awwwwwsome!
